I describe myself as a tryer (hopefully not of patience) but am willing to give most things a go and that is precisely what I am trying to do here with this whole fitness thing – make this fat girl fit!
I hadn’t planned on writing this post but I am feeling a little chuffed with myself so why not! As I’ve said before I was always the supporter and the thought of taking part in exercise of any sort especially running and in public was definitely not for me! No thanks!
I’m not fast at either the cycling or the running but I do try.
I don’t find it easy. I know I have said this before but I really don’t – I just don’t seem to be able to get the breathing right but am hoping that will come with time!
I had my spin class on Wednesday and decided I would run home – I only live 1km away from the gym. Silly, silly, girl! Who do I think I am running any sort of distance after a tough spin class! It nearly killed me but I made it at a slow pace. I completed another 6km run last night with my running buddy Helen, stopped at a friends and then ran another 1.5km home. I have a rest day today and tomorrow and a 10km event on Sunday.
So the reason I am feeling a little chuffed is that i have run over 91km this month! That’s over 56.5 miles! Me! I did that! I double checked my running app and everything just in case I’d had some sort of mathematical malfunction but no it is right! Who knew I could manage that! Albeit at my pace but actually you can’t forget:
